Here at RealWorld Holidays, we love hearing about people’s adventures in South America.
What we really love however, is when they share their pictures with us.
After all, there’s nothing quite like heading off to South America and recording one of the most fascinating places on the planet.
With all this in mind, we’re announcing our very first RealWorld Holidays photography competition!
By sending us a photo documenting your trip to one of our South American countries, you could be in the chance to win a £100 Jessops voucher.
Whether a picture of scenery, of an activity you took part in, or something amazing you saw, all you have to do to enter is either send your picture to us via email, or follow us and tweet it to @RealWorldHols using the hashtag #realworldholidays.
The competition closes at midnight (BST) on August 31.
Competition terms and conditions
By entering this competition, you are deemed to have read and accepted all aspects of the rules described on this page. Any concerns or questions may be addressed through the email address mentioned earlier in the post.
- The photograph(s) you enter must be original and your own work and must have been taken in South America.
- Images must have been taken within the past three years immediately prior to the closing date.
- Images that have won an award in a major competition, or that have been entered in such a competition where the results are pending, are not eligible for entry.
- Entries must not contain personally identifiable information about the submitter or any other persons.
- Entries containing infringing, threatening, abusive, libellous, vulgar, obscene, inflammatory, pornographic, or profane shall be disqualified.
- Any person depicted in the entry must have granted permission to be portrayed as shown.
- If an entry is deemed to have broken the above rules, it shall be disqualified from the competition.
- The competition is open to both amateur and professional photographers aged 18 and over.
- Entrants must be based within the UK.
- By submitting an entry for the contest, each contestant acknowledges that is the contestant’s responsibility for marking their own image to protect against image misuse. RealWorld Holidays assumes no responsibility and is not liable for any image misuse.
- There will be one prize and one winner for this competition, which will be a £100 Jessops gift voucher. The prize cannot be exchanged for a cash reward or any other item.
- The winner will be announced via a blog and contacted by September 4 via email or through a DM on Twitter. The winner has 10 days to reply. If a reply is not made within those 10 days, another winner shall be chosen.
- The gift voucher will be sent to the winner by recorded delivery only.
- Personal details, such as email addresses and delivery addresses, shared with RealWorld Holidays remain confidential and shall not be used for any marketing purposes or sent to any third parties.
- RealWorld Holidays reserves the right to use any photographs entered on the RealWorld Holidays website and across official social media platforms. Entrees will be referred to in first name only.
The judges’ decision is final throughout the competition.
