The Neumeyer Trek
Two-day trek for £380pp
Argentina's Lake District in the countryside around Bariloche is some of the most beautiful country in Argentina, and this 2-day trek is a great way to see some of the best of it, complete with a night in a traditional refugio to boot.
Detailed Itinerary
Day One – Trek to Refugo Neumeyer
We will leave Bariloche this morning, as we climb up and away from Lago Gutierrez and through the beech forests of the Challhuaco valley. We will enjoy some great views back towards Bariloche and Lake Nahuel Huapi as we head towards our base for the night, the Refugio Neumeyer, where we will have a well-earned dinner before turning in for the night. (Lunch and Dinner included)
Day Two – Cerro Challhuaco and Laguna Verde
Leaving the forest behind us this morning, we will walk up through wildflower meadows on our way to the 2000m summit of Cerro Challhuaco, from where we'll have incredible views over the surrounding countryside. Walking down from the summit by an alternate route, we will stop at the beautiful Laguna Verde (Green lake) on our way back to Bariloche. (B/L)
