Tailor-made tours to Argentina

Tailormade Holidays to Argentina

Argentina has to be one of the most visually stunning countries in the world, from the snow-capped peaks and glaciers of Patagonia, to the huge natural spectacle of Iguazu Falls. And while your days may be spent sight-seeing, you can always look forward to an evening with a glass of Malbec in your hand while you enjoy a superb steak or watch an enthralling Tango show...

In many ways, that's the really pleasing thing about holidays in Argentina. It's all just so darn civilized! Whether you spend one of our ATOL Protected holidays to Argentina visiting the sophisticated cities, or deep in the wilderness, you'll find the hotels are superb, the food is amazing, and every experience has a real attention to detail. No surprise then that Argentina is one of our very favourite places.

Family Holidays in Argentina

Family Holidays to Argentina

Argentina is definitely one of the most family-friendly destinations in South America, with European levels of quality and comfort but with a landscape that knocks the socks off anything in the Old World.

If you'd like to be able to combine whale-watching on the Atlantic coast with rafting at the Iguazu Falls and visits to the epic landscapes of Patagonia, all with great hotels, fantastic food (and of course, the odd superb glass of wine...) then look no further!

Wine Tours in Argentina

Wine Tours in Argentina

Of course, one of our favourite things about travel to Argentina is the fantastic food and wine you can enjoy there, and we offer a huge range of wine tours to allow you to really get the most out of Argentina's world-beating wine selection.

For those who'd just like to dip their toe into the waters, we have some great wine tours in Buenos Aires, but we can also plan a more dedicated itinerary to allow you to visit some of the countries best wineries. Many of them offer stylish boutique accommodation on site, and given how beautiful the scenery is in the major wine-growing areas around Mendoza and Salta, this can be a great way to fit some luxurious relaxation into your holiday.

The best time of year to visit Argentina

When is the Best Time to Visit Argentina?

If you want to take in the whole of Argentina, then the best time to visit is probably between October and March, and to be absolutely sure of good weather in the far south of Patagonia (El Calafate or Ushuaia) then you should perhaps restrict that to November-February.

However, it's also worth noting that the forests of the Lake District are particularly beautiful in the Argentine autumn (roughly March-April), and if you're sticking to the north of the country - perhaps a quick trip to Buenos Aires and Iguazu Falls, for example - then really any time of year is fine.

Other periods to bear in mind are May-December for whale-watching at Peninsula Valdes and the July-August ski season, when places like Bariloche and San Martin become the leading ski centres in South America.

Extend Your 2023/24 Argentina Holidays

There's a huge amount to see and do in Argentina, but of course you might want to try and fit in some of the other highlights of South America while you're here. You really shouldn't leave Patagonia without enjoying some of the fantastic scenery on the Chilean side of the border, for example.

Meanwhile, in the north Argentina meets Brazil at the fantastic Iguazu Falls and heading on from there to Rio is very easy... Or you could even head north from Salta and cross into southern Bolivia, or just take advantage of the excellent flight connections to visit anywhere else in South America as well!
