Detailed Itinerary
Day One – Piedra del Fraile Trekking
We will pick you up this morning and drive north out of El Chalten before leaving our vehicle behind and heading out for a moderate trek through the beautiful countryside around Piedra del Fraile, with its tranquil lenga forests, swift-running streams and spectacular mountain scenery. We will stop for a lunch at a very special viewpoint where you have a unique view of Mount Fitzroy’s north-west wall, before heading back to our vehicle via a different route to enable us to enjoy some more of this beautiful region. We can fit this trek into just about any of our holidays in Argentina, although for most of them we will also need to include transportation between El Calafate to El Chalten, and also some overnight accommodation in El Chalten.
